Whether you live in Charlotte or are visiting, there are a lot of fun things to do in and around our city. This of course helps our real estate market, as it makes Charlotte an appealing place to live. This past weekend, my children and I experienced a few fun events that are available in Charlotte and in the downtown city of Concord.
First, we went to the US National White Water Center on Thursday night for a free concert. They hold the concerts every Thursday evening during the summer. You can visit their website at usnwc.org for more details. It was a blast. The weather was perfect and the people were all very nice and in great spirits. If you are a dog lover, there are many different breeds to see, as many people brought their pets. Parking is $5, the concert is free, and there are beverages and food for sale. It was pretty cool watching a concert with the white water kayakers in the background and the sunset was spectacular. I highly recommend this summer event.
Next, we went to downtown Concord on Friday night for the Art Walk. The Cabarrus Arts Council has more information on this event, plus a map on their website at www.cabarrusartscouncil.org. There were many stops to make that held all different types of art from the local artists. Some of these buildings that we have past so many times, have huge areas in back or above them that were cool to visit alone, the art was the cherry on top. We stopped in for eats at The Speakeasy Alehouse and they have the best queso! Many people were lined up for a cold treat at the Creamery. It was another gorgeous night, with the weather being perfect to stroll through this town. The kids really enjoyed stopping at Kitty City, where volunteers are trying to help place cats with new homes. There are fun shops and antiques galore as well. This is an event that was fun for all ages. Visit the Cabarrus Arts Council to find out when the next one is.
My job is to market homes for sale and to find my buyers the best home for their money. I love finding fun events and places in and around Charlotte. It helps those moving here, to know that there are fun things to do and it is a happening area. If you know of other events in our area, please give me a call to let me know. Anything that I can do to promote this area, helps both me and you. Thank you - Lisa Hines 704.756.0874
